Miramar
Inn, onboard the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar
A Group Reservation has been made to hold a limited number
of rooms at the Miramar Inn, onboard the Marine Corps Air
Station Miramar, San Diego.
Anyone wishing to stay must MAKE THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL RESERVATION
by calling 858 271-7111, ext “0” to speak with
Coleen Marticio, Front Desk Supervisor. Identify yourself
as part of the “Sammons Wedding Group” for reservations
between Thursday April 3rd, and Monday April 7th. You will
hold your reservation under your own credit card, and can
cancel without penalty by contacting Coleen Marticio no later
than 10 days prior to arrival date (penalities for later cancellations.)
Please note the following UPDATES to the web-posted
information
1) Reservations under this Group may be made 6 months in advance
– prompt sign-ups are encouraged.
2) Pre-registered guests on the Group Guest List CAN check-in
without sponsor (Sammons) being present.
3) Room rates will be reset February 1st, 2008, expected as
follows.
All rates are for the NEW building (“historic”
building is slightly less; ~$70/room), housing 46 non-smoking
rooms with 2 queen size beds, microwave, small fridge, table,
2 chairs, iron, hair dryer. A/C. Additional Rollaway bed may
be requested, subject to availability.
Free Continental Breakfast daily 6:30-9:30am (fruits, pastries,
juices, Starbucks coffee etc). Business Center/Internet access
(bring CAT 5). Laundry facilities. Gazebo/BBQ grills. NO pets.
Standard Room:
~$80/night.
Family Suite: ~$135-140/night.
As above, with 2 separate rooms; Bedroom has 2 queen beds,
living room has sofa bed, dinette with 4 chairs, full supplied
kitchen, and 42” plasma TV, one bathroom.
Location: Approximately
25 minutes north of the San Diego airport, and 15-20 minutes
east of the wedding/reception in light traffic (take Miramar
Rd west; it becomes La Jolla Village Drive on west side of
I-5).
To enter the Base, provide Driver’s License to the Sentry
and identify yourself as part of the Sammons Wedding Group
each time you enter.
From I-15, take Miramar Way
exit west to Main Gate entrance.
From Main Gate, proceed down Miramar Way, and turn right onto
Gonsalves Avenue, then right onto Bauer Rd to reach Miramar
Inn.
From I-5, take Miramar Rd east
to the North Gate entrance.
From the North Gate, proceed down Mitscher Rd, and turn left
onto Bauer Rd to reach Miramar Inn.
Note: On
base, NO cell phones may be operated by the driver while holding
the phone. Zero tolerance for drinking and driving is observed
on the military installation. Vehicles are subject to inspection.
Observe posted speed limits / units in formation.
